PURCHASING A VEHICLE

The advantages in buying a new car are that you know it has no prior problems and receive a warranty which specifies a period of time in which the dealership will pay for repairs if necessary. When buying a new vehicle, do your homework; research and compare the manufacturer's list price to the sticker price, which may include additional charges and fees. Before buying a car, it is good to know the invoice cost, which is how much the dealer paid for it, so that you make sure you pay a fair price.

OBTAINING A VEHICLE TITLE

When you buy a vehicle, you need to apply for a title and register the car with the Department of Motor Vehicles. The title is a certificate that shows ownership of the vehicle in your name. It also shows the vehicle make, model, and a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
