I only saw Mr. Vance once during the course of my driving class. Though I can't honestly say anything good or bad about him, I have to say that the guy who taught my class (Roger Hougaz i think was his name) was excellent. He bought our class breakfast probably once a week, and did his best to keep the class interesting by playing games and such near the end of every class to hammer in our heads what we'd gone over that day. He also gave us breaks half way through class for food / drinks / bathroom. During driving sessions he offered meaningful advice and encouragement, and made very pleasant conversation in an attempt to get to know his students better. Permits were delivered precisely when he said they would be. So in conclusion, I owe my passing the driver's test on the first shot to Roger and Vance's school. Though I can't pass judgement on Vance himself, my experience with his employees at that time was very enjoyable, and well worth the money I paid.

I would like to address the comments below. The comment about us not driving and finshing on time from the Gorham student...This student owed money and did not pay the balance and our policy is that we have to be paid before we will complete their driving hours. We will finsih the driving, but you do have to pay for the course! The Falmouth comment is from a student who simply put was constantly talking and using her cell phone in class to text message. We had to call her parents and have her mother even sit in a class with her. Our classes are fun and we work hard to give all the information we can to each student. John Smith is just a total made up lie. Their is no John Smith that we ever had in class. Too bad people can hide behind their computer.

They were great. Mr. Vance went above and beyond and really helped me and my sister. You can't find a better school that takes the time to make sure you learn. Classes were fun and everything was perfect.

this is the worst school i have ever encountered. my son started in august, was told he would have his permit by mid september. still no permit, still no scheduled time to finish. it is now October, do not go here, they take your money, and dont complete the course. it is the worst business i have ever dealt with. I also agree with the other comment, they are so rude, even to go as far as making fun of students. (this was a conversation between instructors that was overheard). go anywhere else, stay away from vance!

"We teach you more" is a lie it is boring, slow, and completely mind numbing. Driving with Rick Vance is a lesson in road rage. Seriously, go ANYWHERE else. The other teachers, you know, who work with their knowledge, and not their ego and rudeness are good.
