I'm back and i passed the road test. Thanks Colwells.

Had my first lesson last night. It was great and I like my instructer. He is patient and he will help me get to where I need to be. We must realize that depending on your experience behind the wheel, you may need more lessons which will of course cost you more money. If my instructer tells me I need to take more than 10 lessons to teach me everything I need to know, I will do whatever it takes to get where I need to be. It's all about doing what you have to do to get where you want to be. That does not always come easy. My advice, dont rush to take the road test. Make sure you are ready. If that means pay more for more lessons, than so be it. Dont blame Colwell's. Blame yourself for not being willing to do what you have to do.

I have the best driving instructor teaching me to operate a vehical properly, he is patient and extremely kind. I cant remember his last name but his first name is Carlos. Everyone at colwells are extremely helpful. Thumbs up to them.

Response to UnSatisfied: Sorry to hear that you were unhappy. Too bad the thousands of happy students we've had over the years don't put reviews up here. For those who read the New York Driving Manual, you will see that DMV recommends 20 to 30 hours of behind the wheel driving before your test. If you are under 18 you are required to bring the form which shows you have had at least 20 hours of supervised driving. We understand that most students won't and may not be able to afford this amount of lessons. But 5 lessons is minimal and for those with extremely little driving experience, we recommend our 10 lesson package. If every student could pass with only 5 lessons, why does every driving school in the Bronx sell packages that consist of more than 5 lessons ?? We thank all of our students for their business with us and encourage and hope to receive many new students as well. You can always try at least 1 lesson with us before you commit to anything more. i had 5 lessons with this school and was still unprepared for the roadtest because the instructor told me "I can't teach you all you need to know in just 5 lessons, you must scheduel more"

As far as prices we have been one of the last schools to raise ours and they are still a great value. All of our instructors our licensed by the DMV. Our goal is quality instruction for our students to become safe drivers. Our reputaton is very important. Opinions are welcomed, but any further lies from feedback based on unsubstantiated information, we will not hesitate to file a lawsuit for slander. There is a reason we have been in business for over 40 years and one of the bigger schools in the Bronx. We push ourselves to offer the highest quality service.

Didnt like this school. Seems like they were more interested in my money than helping me learn to drive.

Becareful with this school, its all about the money weather you learn or not. Make sure you get your 45 minute lesson and make sure the teacher is the real thing. Check with the state to be sure.
