What a helpful place! I've had three children go through this school and I have never had a problem. The staff is helpful, the price is great, and my children learned a lot. Walt and Kathy run excellent classes. After parent class, I even feel like I learned! As long as your children pay attention while both driving and in class, they are good to go! Thank you Airway!!

I was shocked, to say the least, while reading these comments! My second son is going to Airway at this present time, and I have never had a problem with the driver's, or anyone else. In fact the woman I dealt with today, was insightful, explained, and answered my questions, and helpful. I feel my second son will have the same informative experience, which is a positive for life skills, and lessons. Learning to drive is both exciting, and a privilege. I am more than sure, that my second son will do just fine here, just as my oldest had.

My first daughter had success at Airway, and told my second daughter to ask for road instructor Ron when she went there. Both kids thought he was very patient and helpful, and the second daughter just passed the DMV test on the first try!

This is the second child I have sent to Airway. My experience, and more importantly theirs, was wonderful until last week on my son's second to last driving hour. Ron was rude and down right obnoxious to both my son and myself. I was so disappointed after such and incredible experience with this class act.If I had a third child, I would definately send them to Airway, I would just make sure that Ron was not their road instructor!

I am so dissatisfied with the treatment of these young adults, who are learning HOW to drive, and are constantly being picked up late, told discouraging remarks, and when my "teen" is finished I will write more concerns about how OTHERS are treated poorly as well~

Airway has taught me a great deal about driving. Kathy and Danny have a great program here: class is always entertaining, the secretaries are helpful and pleasant, and the schedule is very flexible! The driving instructors are very patient, and gave me tips for driving my standard transmission car! Really classy, enjoyable and easy experience! Five Stars all the way! :)

Aside from being quite overpriced, the only employee who isn't rude is Walt. Everyone else, especially Cathy is horribly rude not only in person, but on the phone as well. It seemed like a "bother" to them to teach me techniques on the road such as parallel parking, despite the fact that it's their job. I actually left Airways and went to another driving school to get my license.

I agree with the parent below. The whole team, Husband and Wife, Mother and Daughter, all work well together! From planning the classroom, teaching, and booking drive time, pleasant to deal with on the phone, helping with any needs, anytime! Drivers are well educated to help students with every day situations. Only had one problem, which was takin care of right away, with an extra lesson. I would come back, if I had another child.

Even had to change his Driving test time due to exams. Not a problem at all, and my son passed his test! Polite, willing to go above and beyond, always putting you first! I just passed my driving test there last month and I loved the place. Kathy and Walter are great at teaching the classes and it is a well run business. I had to cancel driving lessons a couple of times and all of the secretaries there are very nice and sweet. I am recommending my friends to go there instead of Howe as you actually learn how to drive here and be the best driver you can be!

Mrs. Kasper is very nice and helpful. The owner does not have any class and if there is a problem with the DMV Driving Test person, he doesn't care to confront the issue. He rather brush it off. As long as he has his money, he frankly doesn't give a ----!! I wouldn't sink my money into his business. The instructors are good but beware when taking your driving test. There is one who is rude and obnoxious and very unfair. He passes some who have made several mistakes and there are others who he irritates and tries to belittle.

We went over drinking and driving, everything in the book to take the test and emergencies. I even promised to wear my seat belt and now I do. WOW! I passed my test. Thanks Airway teachers for caring about us. They are real good people.

I have had 2 sons go to Airway. I cannot say enough good things about this driving school. As a parent, you want your kid to learn while in a class. Both my sons came home after classes telling my husband and I all that they learned while at driving school. Each of my kids were in a regular "classroom" setting, with a actual teacher. I have one son who was very nervous to drive. This school was so patient and caring, and even took extra time with my son on several occasions. My kids learned everything they needed to know to drive safe. I was concerned about the highway, but they did a fantastic job teaching that too. The staff is polite, and the school itself is a real classroom, in a clean professional setting. The school is also in a good area of town. The cars were very nice too. I would recomend this driving school to anyone who has kids. A + school~!!

Great school! The classroom teacher, driving instructor and staff did all they could to make this a wonderful experience for my son. The parent class was very informative. It taught me the new rules and helped me to be a better parent instructor. My son finishes a better parallel parker than I am. Best of all they taught my son to be a responsible driver. Thanks so much! I will be back with my other son in two years.

It's a driving school- it's not supposed to be exciting but they do what they can. My parents and I have always had a wonderful experience with the employees, and Ms. Kasper was always very kind and helpful to myself and my friends. The teachers tried to help you understand how to prepare for the driving test and written test. I have no complaints at all. It isn't in a bad area- dropping off is difficult because there is no parking lot, it is in a strip of building. It is a little run down, but it certainly is not a dump.

I am not sure how people could write such negative feedback on such a good school.I hav ebever had nay problems with the driving school. The secretaries are all nice. They are always looking out for you remindign you if you still need to bring in paperwork for your driving test, and they call to remind you when you have a driving! They don't have to do that stuff but they still do anyway, and that puts them above the rest. The curriculum of the course is good, and the teachers that teach it make it fun and easy to remember. And they don't jsut show videos like at some other drivings, they teacher actually teaches. And for the people who think it is overpriced, you are seriously wrong. They are probably one of the cheapest schools around, and you get much more than what you pay for. I had a friend who spent close to a 1,000 dollars for driving school down in fairfield. and you all think the $490 is expensive. I would definetly recommend Airway Drivign School to all of my friends. They have great service and staff, and they really do prepare you for what to expect when you are driving. Keep up the good work!!

Even while I waited my turn, I was greeted, and helped as soon as possible. Well, I've NEVER had a problem with any of the secretaries at AirwayDriving School, especially Mrs.Kasper! She has helped me with my son's busy sports sched, booking his drive time, always a smile on her face while helping two people at once while answering the phone as well! Its always busy, she does her best to help everyone waiting, calls you back when she doesnt have the book, which is alot, and I call and speak with her when asking any questions or needing help! Keep up the good work!

I finished Airway Driving School a couple years ago and I would like to respond to the student's mother comment. Ms. Kasper is an excellent secretary who has always helped me with my questions with the school as well as preparing me for my own driving test. She always gives out her opinions about how you can never take too many practice tests in preparing for your driving exam and because of her I passed with flying colors. I also had a couple problems with some of the drivers that I went out for lessons and Ms. Kasper made sure I was not put with two instructors that Airway has had problems with. Just like any secretary at any place, everyone has had their ups and downs and I am sure no one is perfect. However, no one should make a comment about a certain secretary working there, especially because secretaries do not make the driving school: instead, the instructors, the learning material, and how many students pass from their school is what should be looked upon.

I gave a poor review based on only the woman, Ms. Kasper, who works at the desk and that I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. I had 2 kids enrolled at Airway & Ms. Kasper is extremely rude. She is ALWAYS frustrated, edgy, and irritated. She has no patience for the job she is in. I cannot for the life of me, imagine why the owners of Airway continue to employ her. If anyone asked me if their child should attend this school, I would say I liked the school with the big exception of having to deal with someone like Ms. Kasper. We, the parents, pay a very high price for our child to attend this driving school, although there are others to choose from, and Ms. Kasper should treat us with respect, as I have always treated her when I have had to deal with her. She complains everytime you walk in how busy she is & she cannot help you right now & you'll have to wait. And then when she DOES help you, she makes it very clear you have "bothered" her immensely...when in fact, it is her job to help you & she should seriously consider working someplace where she does not have to work with the public. Hope the owners realize she is NOT an asset to their business...actually, quite the opposite, I am sorry to say.

I'm still in the process of getting my license here. It's a bit expensive - I'm sure the rate just keeps going up and up. This place isn't "excellent" nor "poor" and I have no clue what "average" driving school implies. Kathy is a fine teacher. The staff are pretty helpful. You need 11 different lessons which are held 6-8 mon-thurs and 9-11 on saturdays. Then you have to take two days of written testing. Once you sign up for a lisence date, you can start doing the mandatory 2 computer lessons. You have to sign up for these in advance. You need classes 1 through 5 to schedule the 8 driving hours with an instructor. Hope this helped!! Call their number for any questions.

My third child just completed classes at Airway and passed his test last week. Airway provided excellent training, has classes five days per week which makes it easy to fit into our schedule, and was very responsive to any questions. Scheduling road time was easy as was the DMV test right at the school. My three kids are all driving now and I would definitely use Airway again.

I too have had problems with getting my son driving hours. We were told that he cannot schedule hours until some time in Septemnber. Of course, by that time, the learner's permit expires. Then what?? I found this to be very expensive and he receives no guidance. He has had one hour of driving and needs to have more. They were late two hours picking him up for his lesson when he did have it scheduled. I am so disappointed.

This has been a total waste of money. My son finished his classes a month ago, and I have not been able to schedule any of the driving hours. I've left numerous calls for the mysterious "owner" to call me back but she has not. It has been the worst customer experience I have ever had. They wanted all the money up front. I guess they are smart, because I would have gone somewhere else pretty quick. My daughter went to Jerrys in Ansonia, and I would suggest that anyone thinking about Airway, should think again. My next step will be small claims court, Better Business Bureau, and maybe Mr. Blumenthal. I have been trying to schedule the 8 hours of driving for 4 weeks and I don't even get the courtesy of a return call. Think twice before considering this driving school.
