Gregs is horrible. They treat employess horrible amd in return the employess do not care. They do not instruct stidents correctly. Most instructors are on their phones while students are driving or having students run errands. If a student cant drive instructors want nothing to dp with them.

My son has just completed his classroom and incar instruction at Greg's Driving School. I don't know what school the students below went to but they did not pick up my son at the house. I had to bring him to the school in Ellicott City for his lessons. The instructor was informative and my son parallel parks like a prop and just received his license last week at the MVA in Annapolis. I would high recommend this experience. The cost is very affordable in comparison to the other schools I checked out.

Wow. I am shocked at the response from the manager, below. These are just regular people. I thought the instruction at Gregs (Ellicott City location) was mediocre and the in-car portion was very poor. The classroom, while pleasant (that is, teacher was nice, funnY) was rather uselss if you had read the manual. OK, i realize that's mandatory but they could improve the instruction if they added a few hours, such as the defensive driving that Smart does. But the incar was the worst. As people said, the hours were less than 6 in reality. Instructors were different each time my daughter went out, which meant there was no progress at all. Then it took THREE months for Gregs to schedule her in-car (they whined that toomany people signed up for their classes, but they kept filling the classrooms and taking the cash!!). Gregs cancelled at least 3 times on her in-car, again citing instructor problems. So my daughter did not learn to drive through them, although we got the legal paper.

I regret not doing i drive smart. I have taken the maryland road test twice now and failed both times. I blame Greg's. I could parallel park in my instructor's car but he never let me try it without him telling me what to do every step of the way. Very dissapointed

Instructors use valuable MANDATORY student time to play taxi...picking up and dropping off students at each other's houses. I am a former instructor at Greg's.

My instructor was very helpful and understanding. I did not feel rushed at all like a was expecting. There was plenty of time allowed for in-car training. My instructor was patient with all of us and made me feel comfortable behind the wheel.

I enjoyed the in class at gregs driving school and i learned alot from my mistakes in the in-car portion of the class. But, when i wanted to practice parrallel parking, my instructor never showed me the right way because in their car i did it perfectlly, but in my own car, the methods they taught caused me to mess up. I think inorder to improve the incar, the school should a paper which we can take home to use to practice. on the paper, each part of the actual test would be described, which would include the time limit, dimension to practice in, what to see when parallel parking, and etc. i think this would improve alot more students chance of driving safely.

According to the manager of that location, she does not belive any of the bad reviews written on this site. Well that says alot the level of care you have for your clients. And my daughter was your client. By the way, since you are located in my back yard, word of mouth will go alot further then this review on here.

First of all do not believe any of the reviews posted on this site. For example the previous review listed for us was listed as being from a Vincent Benacasa. Vincent Benacasa was the primary owner of Greg's Driving School when the business was started twelve years ago, and I assure you is comfortable retired and did not write this missive. I am the current General Manager and can only suspect that competitors are using this site in a cut throat manner to try to hurt our business because they feel threatened. Rather than use the same tactics to post fake reviews I thought it best to use an old-fashioned approach: honesty. The staff of Greg's Driving School sees it as their personal mission to guarantee the best education possible to all member young and old. And why wouldn't we? We are all going to be sharing the road with every new student who graduates, so it is up to us, in conjunction with parents and state lawmakers to ensure that students learn and practice safe driving principles. If it were my child, I would do more than just call a driving school from the phone book. I would make sure that the school is following all state regulations and actively engaging the students with interesting lessons and activities. So I welcome you to come down to Greg's Driving School and sit in on classes, and also to sit in on your student's in-car appointments. Once you do, I know you will see the difference between us and the other guys. Thank you! Sincerely, Michelle M. Ellis General Manager
