Instructor Gul Advani a happy go lucky, down to earth guy makes driving safe and fun. Besides being a very efficiant instructor he also gives lot of tips on car maintenance, defensive driving etc....... Rates are very reasonable. I Highly recommend, great teacher, I passed my road test the first time.

Thank you Gul for helping me pass my road test! After tons of dedication from not only myself but my instructor Gul, I now can drive without being worried that I do not know what I'm doing. Definitely go here, they're personable, helpful, and will do anything they can to help you become a confident driver. SAP

I got my license on my first try but that was because I was able to practice with my dad's car everyday. Al was my instructor and he forgets about EVERYTHING. I was 19 years old and had just 4 lessons and just depended on my dad's car thereafter. I think they can give you great instructions but you can't just depend on their lessons.

I Love Gul I passed on my first try in 2002. He takes you on real life driving lessons not abondon streets. Sent my friend there he passed on first try. He had tried 4 times with another company.

Excellent teachers. Recommended for those who are learning to drive and those who can drive but could not pass. He will go over and help u grab all the important things to do to pass and at the same time be an efficient and safe driver.

THIS IS A BIAS COMPAN, AS TO TEACHING ANYONE LIVING OUTSIDE OF THE BRONX. HE SAID, IT WAS BECAUSE OF DISTANCE, A LAME EXCUSE. IF A COMPANY HAS A SERVICE TO OFFER, WHAT DOES WHERE YOU LIVE HAS TO DO WITH TEACHING TO DRIVE. MAYBE ITS ALL GOOD. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER SCHOOLS. YOUR LOST, MR. GUL.

i just need to polish my driving and develop self confidence so i enrolled in his school since my former instructor was fully booked. on my first with him everything i did was wrong. he's the only teacher who made me feel stupid and dumb. he doesn't even know how to speak proper english. he's been in this country for a long time but his accent is terrible. the worst teacher i've ever met.

I have NO idea what you all are talking about. I have tried other driving schools in the area and they are all DISRESPECTFUL. Finally being recommended from a friend I went to Seagull and found peace. The instructor was respectful, punctual, could actually speak proper english. They were welcoming and answered all my questions. My instructor walked me through everything, never wasting my time or feeding me stupid information to pass time. I will be recommending ALL my family and friends here. You must be kidding if you think they rip you off!

That's odd. Their quality must have gone down in the past couple of years. I got my license with their instructors about 4 years ago. I always had helpful instructors. But I get your comments. I haven't driven in a while and wanted some refresher lessons. I called and made an appointment. The instructor didn't even bother calling to let me know he was late. After 20 minutes, I cancelled the lesson. I tried again at a later date. I called 5 minutes before the appointment to check. He told me then that they don't do a pickup in my area (Grand Concourse). SO we rescheduled for the day after. He never showed up nor even called. Needless to say, I still haven't found myself behind the wheel of a car yet.

experienced everything already mentioned below and frustrated, i have few questions . 1) can anyone of u suggest a GOOD driving school in the same area 2) do all driving schools in this area collect your receipts and make a jackass out of you? 3)kindly give me the name of the instructors who are not of indian origin in any way.,..as i've had enough with this character in seagull.

guys, u got away with only that!!for the past 6 mnths my wife would drive me 2 work & our kids 2 school. I wanted her 2 drive like a MAN!! & get a license, so enrolled her in this driving school just to polish her driving skills. well after just 5 lessons my previously confident wife is now a nervous driver!! thanks to me ., now i have to drive my wife and kids to their respective destinations and the last thing my wife wants to do is drive a car!!! of course guys i did face cancelled driving test and everything else mentioned below, but got an added offer - send a calm, fun loving driver just to polish skills and get back a very nervous driver !! sounds like a great offer ain't it?

Here's how this guy works Day 1 - he'll be good for say 15 min when he'll get to know all about you, then u get to see his real self, he thinks all those driving on the road including you are morons, and have no idea whatsoever about driving Day 2 - u will never get continuous classes form him, he'll keep criticizing u'r driving and give u a feel that u dont know how to drive. Class 3 - the criticizing will continue , bad language, bad english and he'll NEVER TEACH u a thing Class 4 - u'll be told that u need to get u'r right and left's proper so the criticizing continues without any teaching and he'll tell u that u'll fail the road test at this rate, he'll not give u his car for the test because he thinks that u r a bad driver, then finally he'll say 5 classes are not enough , u need more classes to be perfect. Class 5 - he might tell u to parallel park and i guess that's the only thing he'll ever teach. He's got bad manners, will act like a mad guy and will constantly give u a feel that u cant drive, will press the break unwarranted and find a reason to blame u for it...at this time i thought enough is enough, and asked him to book a road test, because i knew that 3 yrs of accident free driving in UK + 5 classes here, is enough. Class 6 - he says he's fixed a date ( he'll keep the 5 hr receipt with him, if u r smart enough try to take that class else where ), will still emphasize that u will fail the test & u need more classes. Class 7 - ( a week after class 6) i looked up DMV, can see a cancelled appt.. i confront him , he denies and blames me for it. well he's playing with the wrong guy. Got my NYPD friend to him, managed to get the receipt, booked a test myself, practised for some time in friends car, with a friend who boosted all my confidence ,and passed the test. My advise - don't go to this place to learn driving, u will not be taught anything,if he gets to know that u r in a well paying profession, he'll fleece u off to the max. extent ; if u r caught in a muddle like me with a cancelled appt. silently try to take the receipt from him under some pretext, unless u can argue with a moron like him... JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, U'LL REMAIN SANE.

Agree with JL , faced silimar problems but the worst part is, he'll tell u that raod test is booked, but one look at the DMV site and lol, u'r appiontment won't even show up there, then u confront - he denies and tells u to take more classes -can go upto 15 classes..so beaware stay away from this place for sure.

Worst teachers that you'll ever meet. Try to rip you off. Show up late to lessons. Bring along other people without warning. Changes&modifies appointments at the last minute. Never have their phones turned on or call you back. Don't speak English properly. You should just pay 50 dollars more&take your business somewhere else.
